JIPMER 2017 Eligibility Criteria:
The eligibility criteria for taking this is that the applicant must have completed 12th standard with minimum 50% marks for general category and 40% marks in case of SC/ST candidates with PCB as their subjects. There is a relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST applicants in age criteria. The students who are appearing in final 12th standard examination can also take up this examination. The applicant must be 17 years of age.

The applications can be downloaded in the link http://jipmer.edu.in from April. The applications are also available in the state bank of India branches across India. The applications can also be availed by sending a request through post along with demand draft for Rs.1000/-( UR/OBC Category candidates ), Rs.650/-( SC/ST/PH/applicants) which can be remitted in the form of demand draft in the favour of institute from any nationalized bank. The last date for avail of applications will be in the month of April. The exam will be conducted in June and the results will be declared in Institute website in July. The examination will be conducted across in the centres which are mentioned in the application brochure.
The medium of Instruction is English. The examination is partitioned into 4 sections namely Chemistry, Physics, English and Biology. The total number of questions asked in this exam will be 120 in number which are multiple choice objective questions. The number of questions asked from each subjects will be 40 in number. In order to clear this exam the applicant must be thorough in 12th standard syllabus only. The term negative marking is not applicable in this exam.
